Config as code

Flows, alerts, dashboards and the rest of your setup are YAML files. Every change is a diff with a preview that you can undo.

An alert, for example:

id: checkout-errors
name: Checkout is failing
severity: critical
flow: checkout
condition:
  metric: error_rate # a fraction: 0.02 is 2%
  op: ">"
  threshold: 0.02
  forMinutes: 5
routing:
  email: [owners]

How a change happens

  1. Propose. You edit in the app, the agent proposes a change, or a coding agent sends one over MCP. Each one is the complete new file.
  2. Check and preview. Flowhawk validates the file and shows the diff and a preview, such as how often an alert would have fired in the last 30 days, or what a collection change does to volume and cost.
  3. Apply. On confirmation the change applies. Editors and above can apply changes, and viewers can only look.
  4. Undo. Any applied change can be undone, and the undo is itself a change.

Every change records who made it, whether that is the signed-in person or the person behind the agent or key. Settings > Config history lists them all, with the diff of each.

Git

Your workspace's configuration is kept in a git repository on our side, one per workspace, so the history is complete and every version can be restored. Connecting your own GitHub repository to a hosted workspace, so that edits merged there apply to Flowhawk, is not available yet. If you need it, tell us.
