Flowhawk vs Better Stack
Better Stack combines logs, uptime checks, on-call and status pages, with a friendly price for small teams. Flowhawk does those things too. It adds traces, errors and sessions tied to your business flows, and an agent that investigates incidents.
The short version
- Choose Better Stack if you mainly want log search, uptime checks and status pages, and a free plan to start on.
- Choose Flowhawk if you want to see which flow is broken and why, with traces, errors, logs and incidents linked to each other, and no fee per on-call person.

Where Better Stack is stronger
- A free plan with no time limit.
- A longer track record, with many customers running it in production.
- Published integrations for many log sources. Flowhawk's own SDKs aren't on the public registries yet. Until they are, you send data with OpenTelemetry.
Where Flowhawk is different
- You start from the flow. Checkout failing at the payment step shows on one page with its trace, error and logs, and the deploy that changed it.
- The agent handles the first hour of an incident. It reads the evidence and writes the incident page, then proposes a fix, which waits for your approval.
- Everyone on the team can be on call without a per-person fee. You pay only for texts and calls, at $0.10 and $0.25.
- Flows, alerts, checks and status pages are YAML files, so you can review every change and undo it.
Moving from Better Stack
Send OpenTelemetry to Flowhawk from your services or your existing collector, and recreate your uptime checks and status page in Settings or as YAML. See Sending data.
